Pax Autocratica Early Access: What Changed and What Can Move
Treat August 10, 2026 as the main-app Early Access unlock, not the first time any public Pax Autocratica build was playable.

Table of contents
Pax Autocratica’s main application entered Early Access on August 10, 2026. That phrase matters. Public Demo and Prologue builds existed before the main-app unlock, so an older guide can be accurate for its build and still be wrong for the edition you are playing now.
The edition boundary in one table
| State | What it means for this guide |
|---|---|
| Older Demo or Prologue material | Useful for finding player questions, but not enough to publish a current step or value |
| Main-app Early Access unlock | The current edition boundary, beginning August 10, 2026 |
| Later Early Access updates | Must be checked when they change a player-facing action, unlock, name, or number |
This site therefore does not describe the August release as the first time Pax Autocratica was playable in any form. It describes it as the main-app Early Access unlock.
Systems present in the current main-app loop
The current edition presents a linked set of colony and first-person systems:
- Build and operate a production colony.
- Manage fear, loyalty, relationships, and the risk of rebellion.
- Research capabilities and government policies.
- Weaken enemies, capture them, hold prisoners, and choose an outcome.
- Lead infantry and mechanized forces into first-person combat.
- Explore sectors, collect Core Fragments, and face elite or Overlord threats.
That list describes the current loop at a system level. It does not make older balance numbers current again.
Recent changes that affect how you play
The final pre-unlock updates documented several practical changes that remain important enough to watch:
Production control
Production can use Order, Stock, and Auto modes after the relevant warehouse capability is available. These modes answer different questions: make a fixed amount now, maintain a reserve, or continue automatically. Because the behavior was documented immediately before Early Access, treat exact availability and tuning as patch-sensitive.
Research planning
A research queue reduces idle time, but it can also hide a bad priority. Keep the capability that clears your current constraint at the front of the queue. See Research Tree for a backward-planning method.
Citizen lifecycle and policy timing
The Aged status, lifespan changes, and a 24-hour Paid Time Off policy are examples of why citizen advice needs an edition label. They affect staffing and governance over time, not just one instant decision.
Capture and Cores
Capture rounds, capture protection after repeated failures, Core collection levels, Missile Cores, and high-rarity Core changes were all active areas near the unlock. Never import a percentage or complete combination table from an older build without checking the current screen.
How to use an older guide safely
Apply this five-question filter:
- Does it name Demo or Prologue? If yes, assume the steps need a current check.
- Does the UI match? Renamed buttons, different panels, or moved prerequisites can invalidate the action even when the general idea survives.
- Is the claim structural or numerical? “Research has prerequisites” is more durable than a precise cost or duration.
- Can the current screen show it? Prefer the value or relationship you can read now.
- Would being wrong waste a run? Boss mechanics, capture odds, recipes, and build claims need a higher bar than background lore.
What this launch database intentionally withholds
Two attractive subjects are not in the launch navigation:
- A merchant page needs current encounter, stock, cost, and refresh behavior.
- A vehicle/mech operations page needs readable identities, unlock steps, and controls—not merely proof that vehicles exist.
The Core planner also starts small. It exposes a readable current sample and one known pair; it returns unknown for the rest. That is more useful than a large table assembled from incompatible builds.
When to recheck a page
Recheck advice after an update changes any of these:
- a button, menu, or unlock location;
- a named building, weapon, Core, policy, or enemy;
- a cost, duration, probability, or capacity;
- a prerequisite or production relationship;
- expedition progress, danger, rewards, or exit behavior.
Use Getting Started for the durable loop, then follow the dated system page when a particular decision blocks you.
